Some viewers think there is clearly something wrong with how things are going on with this season of America’s Next Top Model. After two of the most promising ones have been sent home, criticisms were raised that it had been more about personality rather than talent when the judges, led by America’s Next Top Model creator and host Tyra Banks, choose which girls to eliminate.

The latest casualty to this frenzy is 24-year-old Claire who, after being Cover Girl of the Week three times, landed in the bottom two for the second week in a row and eventually got the boot. In an exclusive interview, Claire speculated on the reason why she was sent home despite her sterling performance so far.

“I think what the judges, now especially, they want to see improvement more than just skill,” she said. “The fact that I wasn't impressing them more every single week is like the greatest fault that you could have.”

She also talked about the pressures of being on a show like America’s Next Top Model and being a mom.

I still can't believe that I did it. It's so hard even, I've been a day away from her now in L.A. , and I'm still missing her. It's so hard to tear yourself into two, like I had to kind of syke with myself into, okay, this is model Claire, competition Claire. It was hard to leave that behind, and I think it caught up to me in the end,” she said. “It is going to be tricky as always, but I've always been trying to balance motherhood, making films and videos, and work.”

As for the other girl in the bottom two, Lauren, whom everybody predicted to get the boot because of her awkward walk, Claire said the judges loved her awkwardness, because she seemed like a real model, “kind of all awkward and raw beauty.”About the Author:
