Survivor: Talkin' Hidden Immunity Idols

On Survivor, when two people who possessed the hidden immunity idol were eliminated in succession, perhaps it got Survivor fans thinking whether they were eliminated despite it, or because of it. When Jason Siska and Ozzy Lusth were eliminated, it was not only downright frustrating, it got viewers rethinking about the mixed fortune the complicated thing brings. And really, it can be tricky. Going by the Survivor's official rules, "if you intend to use the idol, you must reveal it or give it away to someone else after all of the votes have been cast, but before the votes are read." And in the event that you have the highest number of votes, the person with the second highest number of votes will be eliminated from the game.

This was the mistake committed by Jason and Ozzy alike. The idol may give you a false sense of security, and in the process makes you very vulnerable because everybody will be after you. The tricky part also has something to do with the variety of options involved. First off, you may keep it a secret or tell others that you have it. This aspect has to be played to perfection. If you gloat about it or at least make it known, you will end up thinking no one will vote for you. Thus, making you vulnerable for blindsides so typical of Survivor.

In the most recent episode, though, Survivor viewers finally got to see how one is supposed to play the hidden immunity idol. Amanda Kimmel made everyone believe that she did not have it, then went on to surprise everyone – especially Alexis, who ended up being voted off – when she played the idol. All in all, it takes a lot of cunning to make the hidden immunity idol to your advantage, and by doing so, you could win yourself a million dollars.About the Author:
